College Professor. Get a PHD. And then do some consulting work on the side.
My professor got paid consulting fees to teach a CFO of a company how to calculate the NPV of a project.

College professor would be cool, especially if you were like Michael Douglas in Wonderboys.

Is research sales an easy job, assuming you have a charter and interpersonal skills?

Magix, how about Bloomberg, you could be one of those annoying Bloomberg rep guys. Travel around, explain how the user can calc the valule of the bond put/call option, try to sell them an additional terminal, give a presentation at some swanky hotel for BloomUniversity, get wasted and sleep with some hot Asian derivatives accountant while on the road.

I was sitting in the doctor’s office today, some poor schlep decked out in a full suit while it’s 85 degrees and humid outside walks in and tries to sell the nurse some office supplies. I’m thinking to myself, this doctor’s office has a total of 2 doctors and 2 nurses on staff, how much paper and ink could they possibly need, like $200 worth? So he gets what, $20 off a 10% commission? And the nurses weren’t exactly hot Asian derivatives either.

The guy is a dinosaur, people use Office Depot now, wake up chump.
Bi-Polar, I think the reps cover an area, like West-coast and make the rounds - existing clients, new clients, BloomUniversity events, answer email questions, etc. I’ve always like the Bloom guys really, only moderately annoying. $$$???
Also BondEdge has these types of jobs, higher level of specialized knowledge in fixed income, I’ve run into some CFAs, really annoying compared with the cool Bloom guys…probably from working with actuaries.

College prof. is definitely the way to go. “Write” a textbook that you require for your class (don’t forget to move a few paragraphs every couple of years to creat a new edition), have some dorky GA teach 90% of your classes, consult on the side for big money, have a hot GA help you with your “research”, and be guaranteed a job for life.
