Don’t expect too much from the inv’t mgmt job market here in TO. Nearly everyone in inv’t mgmt have at least three designations/degrees after their names. International experience is a plus though. To be realistic, it may take 6-9 months max. Good luck!

u sure toronto has the highest number of CFA holder per capita? The whole canada has like 400+ holders in 2009, Singapore has like 180+ holders in 2009. How could this be possible that toronto has the highest number of CFA holder per capita? Where is the stat?

Where did you get these stats, lol….it’s very well-known that TO has the highest percentage of CFAs/capital, why do you doubt comments made by Canadians living here?
“Toronto CFA Society with over 7,000 members is the second largest member society in the world.”
But hey if you want to come over here and end up being a disillusioned cab driver like many other well-educated immigrants, be my guest.

If you have worked in the business for 4 years then you are ahead of the thousands in Toronto with CFA+MBA+CA+FRM+ABC combos but little to no real FO experience…Lets be real here, highest number of CFAs per capita doesnt mean anything if a good chunk of the crowd has never actually applied what they studied…experience on a desk will always trump education..
