Hey Guys,
I would have a question for you please:
I passed Level 3 this afternoon! Yep I did it!
What should I do to earn the CFA designation and become a CFA Charterholder?
- Get 2 sponsors, I have one sponsor, and still looking for another one, anyone who will be interested, please?
and then? what would be the next step?
Thanks a lot guys,
M.

Glad someone started this thread.
Anyone know how to get a second copy of that CFAI sponsor e-mail, or to re-start the application process? I got the sponsor e-mail back in 2009, unfortunately it was deleted a long time ago. The CFAI membership website doesn’t offer much insight here.
I put in a customer service request, but I have a feeling they are getting slammed today and will not get to my query anytime soon.

You first need to fill out an application for membership then after that you will need a two sponsors 1) your supervisor and 2) CFA Charterholder in the local society you are joining. After they vouch for you then cfai will review application approve or deny. If approved it will then go to the local society to approve or deny. If approved you will be a member either affiliate or regular.

Cool! I already have a CFA Charterholder as a sponsor, so I have just to talk to my supervisor. He will have to write someting for my application as my sponsor did?
by the way, sorry for my stupid questions;)
Thanks again Jay,
M.

Both sponsors will answer the same questions on the application. there is not a differeence between supervisor and charterholder as far as that goes.

Follow up question. Do you need to become a member of the local society before asking your two sponsors to answer CFAI application?

Thanks. How do they vouch for me? After I join the local society (NYSSA), do I specifically ask someone in the society to vouch for me? And how do they do that? Same for my supervisor, is there an form I need to give to my supervisor to sign? Does my supervisor has to write something or just sign? Thanks.
